The County of Los Angeles Fire Department Asian Pacific Islander Association is thrilled to announce the inaugural API Scholarship for aspiring firefighters. This scholarship aims to support 25 individuals from the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community who are eager to embark on a career in firefighting.
The journey to becoming a firefighter is both challenging and rewarding, with the first critical steps being the successful completion of the Firefighter Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT) and the Fire Candidate Testing Center (FCTC) exams. These assessments are designed to evaluate the physical aptitude, endurance, and cognitive skills necessary for the demanding role of a firefighter.
Scholarship Coverage:
Recipients of the API Scholarship will receive the following components of the firefighter examination process:

FCTC Written Test

Eligibility and Application:
This scholarship is exclusively available to individuals from the API community who are committed to serving as firefighters for the County of Los Angeles Fire department.
